The women's basketball season is almost here, and teams are gearing up to get back on the court. Some familiar faces will be suiting up for different squads this season, and several teams have loaded up via the transfer portal before the 2025-26 season.
Here is Autumn Johnson's breakdown of the DI women's basketball teams that won the transfer portal.

1. UConn
UConn added Wisconsin’s Serah Williams, a double-double force inside, and Kayleigh Heckel from Southern California — a poised guard who brings balance next to Azzi Fudd and Sarah Strong.
2. LSU
LSU’s MiLaysia Fulwiley brings highlight reel creativity from South Carolina, and Kate Koval adds elite size and touch from Notre Dame.
3. TCU
TCU continues to quietly build with a major statement, adding Olivia Miles, who chose to hold off on the WNBA and return for a fifth year. She's joined by California’s Marta Suarez. The Horned Frogs have a ton of size that includes Kentucky’s Clara Silva.
4. South Carolina
South Carolina kept its dominance alive by reuniting Ta’Niya Latson and Raven Johnson — that backcourt reunion could terrorize the SEC.
5. Maryland
Maryland added shooters in Yarden Garzon to stretch the floor and added a two-way nightmare in Oluchi Okananwa.
6. Ole Miss
Coach Yo stacked the roster with Cotie McMahon, Latasha Lattimore and three more instant contributors.
7. Tennessee
For Tennessee, how about Janiah Barker returning to the SEC to provide more length and a scoring punch for the Vols, including Nya Robertson, and Jersey Wolfenbarger.
8. NC State
Khamil Pierre joins Zoe Brooks, giving the Wolfpack an electric duo to stay in the ACC hunt.
8. Southern Cal
Out West, JuJu Watkins is sitting out, but USC lands Kara Dunn and Londynn Jones for scoring and spacing.
9. UCLA
Across town, UCLA added a lethal shooter in Gianna Kneepkens, and Charlisse Leger-Walker is back in the mix, giving the Bruins another ball handler. Plus, UCLA welcomed Siena Betts to accompany her sister in the frontcourt.
Everyone leveled up.
